Husband and wife team, Zoe and James Reddin who run Mini First Aid Lincolnshire North are proving to be a winning combination both at work and home.

Working and living together isn’t something every couple would enjoy! For Zoe and James, Mini First Aid has offered the perfect opportunity to combine professional skills as well as allowing them more time to spend with family.

Having served in the Marines for nearly seven years and with over 13 years in the fire service, James has extensive experience in dealing with emergency situations. James says:

“First aid and trauma care is a core part of being in the fire service. I have obviously been in many emergency situations where my training and skills have been put to the test. It is so empowering to be able to pass on this knowledge and train others.”

Zoe brings a wealth of business and training experience to the team, having worked in project and account management in a variety of roles.

Fitting around family . . .

As parents to two young daughters, Evie (6) and Rosie (2), both Zoe and James are well used to dealing with minor injuries from the girls’ regular scrapes and bumps. The couple had been talking for a while about the desire to spend more time with their daughters. Mini First Aid Lincolnshire North offered the perfect opportunity to run a successful local business, which could better fit around family life.

Zoe says:

“Being able to do a job we love, on our own terms, and together has been a wonderful experience. We both have different strengths and preferences when it comes to day to day tasks so we make a really good team. Having two small children, the ability to work flexibly is so important. It means that we can fit work around our children so that we can enjoy more time together as a family.”

Zoe and James offer an extensive range of first aid classes ranging from classes for parents and carers, to the full first aid qualification courses. They also run kids classes for children in early years and primary school settings, and First Aid at work qualification courses.

Mini First Aid Lincolnshire North offers 2 hour baby & toddler first aid classes for small groups of parents and carers. Classes are informal but informative and cover choking, basic life support, dealing with burns, breaks and bumps, febrile seizures & meningitis awareness. A class costs £20 per person.
